The Game On! Coach in Training Program welcomes students entering their freshman and sophomore years in high school who are looking for special training that prepares them for working with and impacting girls through sports.
Participation in the program offers an advantage toward becoming a Game On! Coach or Sports Director prior to their senior year and not only promotes growth as a leader but assures a most active and fun summer.
CIT PROGRAM BENEFITS:
- Develop and polish leadership and youth coaching skills
- Structured training program that offers a weekly progression related to observation, assisting, co-leading and direct leading
- Curriculum and scheduled discussion devoted to the following coaching traits: instruction, problem-solving, command, environment and coaching style
- Shadowing and learning from veteran sports directors and general coaches
- Train with role models and respected professionals who have spent years devoted to passing on the gift of sports to girls
- Flexible multi-week options (minimum of 4 weeks required for program completion)
WHO SHOULD APPLY:
- 9th and 10th grade high school students (all genders welcome)
- Athletes who are passionate about passing on the gift of sports to girls and appreciate the opportunity to become trusted role models
- Students who are considering a career of any type that involves working with youth
- Students who are looking to hone their leadership and coaching skills

CITs pay ½ tuition and must go through our application process to be considered. CIT opportunities are available in Chicago, Glencoe and Lake Forest.
