Since 2007, Game On! has been empowering kids through sports and our coaches have been a large part of our success. Game On! invites all men and women to review the position descriptions below. Join us at Game On! Sports and become part of a coaching team dedicated to empowering kids for life through sports. Coaching opportunities include the following on-site after-school classes, Home 2 Home sessions that brings our multi-sport experience right to the homes of kids in need of active outdoor engagement, birthday parties, Proud to Throw Clinics, day off events, and more.
This paid instructing position is perfect for high school students (juniors and seniors), college students, or any adult with spare time that desires to bring the joys of sports and other active and creative endeavors to kids on weekdays (after-school hours) and weekend hours if desired.

Camp Director (Summer only - all locations)
The Camp Director’s responsibility is to execute the mission of Game On! every day at camp, in addition to creating the spirited and team-oriented atmosphere and energy we are known for. Specifically, a Director’s responsibility would include the following:
- Securing and maintaining a SAFE & FUN camp environment
- Serving as the ultimate role model for staff and campers
- Creating a contagious energy and spirit that carries through each and every camp day
- Organizing and executing daily camp schedule including morning team stations and afternoon optionals
- Organizing and executing special camp events and theme week activities
- Coordinating and managing camp field trips
- Managing and motivating camp staff
- Interacting with campers
- Forging relationships with campers and camp families
- Coordinating equipment needs and maintaining equipment
- Maintaining good relations with facility host
- Taking quality care of facility property
- Birthday card project and other creative endeavors
- Potential for involvement in Game On! events during school year
- Potential for aiding in the marketing of Game On! year-round

Sports Director (Summer only - all locations)
Depending upon the particular campsite, Game On! hires Sports Directors in Tennis, Basketball, Flag Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Baseball/Softball, Lacrosse, and Field Hockey. A Sports Director will execute provided lessons, designed to help girls, grades K through 8th, to learn the fundamentals & grow as an athlete in the specific sport. With a focus on fun & the joy of sport, directors will supervise and provide hands-on teaching. Sports Directors will also play an integral role in creating a safe, spirited and warm camp environment, with substantial involvement in all other facets of the “Game On! camp” experience as per direction from the camp Directors.

- Experience coaching and teaching young kids in the particular sport

Summer Camp Coaches (Counselors - all locations)
Join us at Game On! Sports Camp 4 Girls and become part of a unique summer day camp coaching team dedicated to empowering girls for life through sports. Find the reward and joy in helping us to implement our award-winning active, multi-sport programming that leaves girls K-8th with a deep sense of what it means to be STRONG – strong in body, strong in mind and strong in team.
Coaches will supervise a group of approximately 8 to 12 girls as they rotate through various sports stations and other fun activities, attend field trips, and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.
While sports is our main focus, we also instill and encourage confidence, life skills and values that will prepare our Game On! campers for a healthy, productive and active life. By the way, we can get pretty crazy as well with water wars, minute-to-win-it contests, and watermelon eating contests. Our Game On! summers are pure fun and incredibly rewarding for our staff. A day at Game On! might include field hockey, volleyball, basketball, baseball/softball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, football, rugby, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, golf, martial arts and so much more.

Assistant Camp Director (Summer only - all locations)
Game On! Assistant Directors will report to the Camp Director and assume any and all roles and responsibilities delegated by the Director. Typically the Director and Assistant Directors will work closely as a team, with the Director technically taking on overall responsibility. Consequently, we look for the Assistant Director to possess most of the same qualifications as the Director. (See above.) Assistant Directors may also take on the role of a Sports Director when appropriate.

Coach in Training
The Game On! Coach in Training Program welcomes students entering their freshman and sophomore years in high school who are looking for special training that prepares them for working with and impacting girls through sports. Participation in the program offers an advantage toward becoming a Game On! Coach or Sports Director prior to their senior year and not only promotes growth as a leader but assures a most active and fun summer.
CIT PROGRAM BENEFITS:
- Develop and polish leadership and youth coaching skills
- Structured training program that offers a weekly progression related to observation, assisting, co-leading and direct leading
- Curriculum and scheduled discussion devoted to the following coaching traits: instruction, problem-solving, command, environment and coaching style
- Shadowing and learning from veteran sports directors and general coaches
- Train with role models and respected professionals who have spent years devoted to passing on the gift of sports to girls
- Flexible multi-week options (minimum of 4 weeks required for program completion)
Open to 9th and 10th grade high school students
